This is a lovely 3 star Hotel/Guesthouse located in the Tsagarada Pelion Region. The Hotel has a fine and elegant restaurant, a large living room with fireplace, piano area and library.
The Hotel was built in 1890 and fully renovated in 1990. It is located 10 minutes by car from the famous Milopotamos and Damouhari Beaches. You could enjoy the beautiful beaches in the summer time or choose to ski down the marvelous Hania ski slopes.
The owners and chefs at the Lost Unicorn will gladly greet you with a warm welcome and they guarantee a Five star menu and service. All of the products are grown on premises and will surely satisfy all of your needs. Close by is the Pelion Railway for getting around....Don't miss this lovely experience ! |

| Position |
Our hotel overlooks the village square of Agia Paraskevi in the village of Tsagarada. The village is at an altitude of 500m (about halfway up the mountain) on the northeastern side of the Pelion penninsular.
Pelion is reached by going through the city of Volos, where there is a major tourist information office and several archealogical sites. It takes approx 1 hr and 10 mins drive to reach Tsagarada.
The penninsular itself is mountainous in the north and the beaches of northeast Pelion are sandy stretches and rocky coves. Our nearest beach is Milopotamos at 10 mins drive. Alternative beaches are found 20 mins drive away. There are several mountain villages and small coastal resorts nearby. |

The Hotel do not offer any transfer service.
Skiathos airport is a five minute taxi ride from the port where you can catch a seacat/flying dolphin or ferry to Volos port. The journey takes approx 1 and a half hrs by seacat or 2 and a half hrs by ferry. Times vary according to season and you must buy your ticket in person at one of the two ticket offices along the front.
Thessaloniki is the nearest major airport at approx 3hours and a half drive. Athens airport is approx 5 hrs drive. Volos is the nearest port. We strongly recommend hiring a car. This is really the best way to reach us from Thessaloniki, Athens or Volos.
Alternatively there are national buses to Volos from Thessaloniki and Athens. The service is more reliable and often quicker than train travel in Greece.
There is a local bus that serves Tsagarada twice a day, but it is unreliable and takes a long time to get anywhere.
A taxi from Volos centre or port costs approx 50 euros.
There are a couple of taxi drivers in our area and although longer journeys can be booked in advance, it is difficult to rely on them in summer as they are so busy.
Walking is another option for serious hikers. The terrain can be tough and the climate very warm. It takes 2 hrs to reach the nearest beach and 3 hrs to return up the mountain.
Car hire really is the best way to see the region, whether its popping down to the beach, trying different restaurants, or taking a day to drive south. With a car you have the freedom to explore various beaches and the other villages that make up Pelion.
