The island has an extensive bus network and there is a marina about 5 kilometers from the hotel at Gouves or Dassia.

The island is linked to the Greek mainland by ferries from Igoumenitsa or Patras as well as to Italy by ferry routes to Ancona or Venice. Corfu is linked to other Ionian islands by ferry or hydrofoil. There is also a hydroplane link from Gouvia to Ioannina.
