| Hippocrates, the father of Medicine, born in 460 B.C. on the Island of Kos, is still remembered today for the fact that he innovated the Hydrotherapy Treatments. The benefits of the Sea waters were well recognized 2500 years ago in all of the Mediterannean. Therefore, it is an honor for the Hotel Imperial Thalasso, to provide for its visiting guests, the only Thalassotherapy Center in all of Kos, named the Elixir Thalasso Center. Some of the treatments you will find here are: Acqua Elixir Pool, a swimming pool decorated entirely with Murano Glass, where the waters are heated to a temperature of 31-33°C. This permits for your pores to dilate and to let the specific agents found in the mineral salts to penetrate your skin. You will also find an Aerobic Pool with underwater step accessories for a complete and total work out. After a tiring workout you may choose to have a relaxing massage made with essential oils, clay body wraps, foot reflexology, shiatsu or just a plain massage. If you are a couple, you may choose to have the Love Potion Massage, thought of just for you lovers. To get the best suntan, we recommend the exfoliating, moisterizing massage treatment. It will leave you skin prepared to face the days out in the sun. |
